Aldercar Wood Neighbourhood Watch

This Neighbourhood Watch was originally set up to cover the boundary of the historical Aldercar Wood area in the Village of Great Horkesley. We now involve all parts of the village and anyone who wishes to be notified about criminal activity, and to receive advice on how to prevent crime, is very welcome to join.

To become a member of Neighbourhood Watch, please email your name, postal address and a contact telephone number to aldercarwoodnw [at] gmail.com (subject: Neighbourhood%20watch) .

Crimestoppers & Victim Support

If you are reluctant to report what you think is criminal activity, or just want to report your suspicions, then CRIMESTOPPERS may be the organisation you are looking for. Just a phone call enables someone to record what you know, or think you know, whilst giving you total anonymity. Absolutely nothing about you will be recorded or communicated to the authorities. Follow this link to learn more crimestoppers-uk.org.

If you have been a victim of crime and feel that you need some help, Victim Support is the organisation to contact at www.essexvictimsgateway.org.

If you would like to help support victims of crime, learn more about how you can become involved on this poster.

Elderly support

A partnership supporting elderly people and their informal carers operates in Essex. For information about this service please visit the Community Agents Essex web site.

Special Constables

Have a job? Have a family? Have 16 hours a month to spare? Have you ever thought about becoming a Special Constable? Specials have full police powers, uniform and equipment, and are volunteers within the Essex Police Special Constabulary. Specials come from all walks of life, work voluntary hours when they want, and provide support for front line Police Officers to help keep our communities safe. You could too.
